This is Realpolitik, a newsletter about the art of the possible in the modern-day political landscape. Committed to peace, with the realities of war in mind.
“We must keep house with the realities before us, not with fiction.”
— Otto von Bismarck
Get posts delivered to your inbox as I write them. Don’t worry, these take a lot of time to produce and there won’t be enough emails for me to even remotely be considered to be spamming you.
Who Reads This?
This is a newsletter for people who are ready to see the political realities that shape our lives, grim as they may be. If you aren’t satisfied with the misdirection and propaganda that is fed to us every day through the press, on the evening news and via social media and find yourself shaking your head at the obvious questions that are not being asked, this publication might be for you. If you are looking for a deeper historical perspective that assumes that something similar to what we are currently experiencing has happened before and that smart people have already said smart things about it, go ahead and subscribe.
I do not assume you will agree with everything I say. In fact, I sincerely hope you won’t. Think for yourself, analyse the material before you and come to your own conclusions. And please tell me about them, either by answering the email or by leaving a comment.
